ILRF has been supporting these efforts for economic justice
in
its external debt of $3.7 billion (almost eight times the country’s annual
GDP), there would be more money to spend on health care, education, living wage
jobs and monitors to ensure that international labor standards are upheld. Prioritizing these important social services
would help to combat the exploitation of
companies like Firestone. To find out
more about the Stop Firestone campaign, visit the campaign website here.
