Highlights of the protest included a major press conference and a die-in organized by the Student Trade Justice Campaign. Speakers at the press conference included:

- Heather Hanson, Executive Director, U.S. Office on Colombia
- Christina Lizzi, Student Trade Justice Campaign, George Washington University
